This is a key position in the <company name> group to ensure the General Ledger (GL) function is up to high standards. The chosen candidate should develop the GL team whileplaying the role of change catalyst in the group.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving GL KPIs and constantly improving GL processes

  • Efficiently manage key GL functions like cost, compliance, and quality

  • Educate, inspire, develop and coach GL team members to drive operational excellence

  • Perform month-end variance explanations

  • Track the KPI/Operation matrix for reporting

  • Classifying expenses, prepayments, cross quarter reservations etc.

Requirements

  • <Professional accounting body> with at least a Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or professional accounting qualifications such as <professional certifications>

  • Familiar with financial regulations in <county>, including but not limited to the <local financial regulations>

  • Minimum <number> years of finance and accounting experience

  • Passionate in leading and managing a team of <junior roles> to meet department KPIs

  • High level of integrity and sense of responsibility with commitment to good governance

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
